  • Gregg S. Coury
    Chief Executive Officer,
    Chief Compliance Officer

    Gregg is Chief Executive Officer of The Coury Firm and a member of the Board of Directors. As CEO, he is responsible for leading the Firm’s business strategy and overseeing all facets of the Firm’s offerings. Gregg also serves as Chief Compliance Officer of the Firm, overseeing all compliance and regulatory matters. Gregg was instrumental in creating and refining the Firm’s integrated service model and Multi-Family Office platform.

    For over 20 years, Gregg has advised prominent families and businesses through a myriad of challenges including mergers and acquisitions, wealth transfers, business exit strategies, succession planning and governance, and other family office and corporate matters.



    Having joined the Firm in 1996, Gregg has served in a number of roles and capacities, most recently as President.


    In addition to his role at The Coury Firm, Gregg serves as a member of the Board of Directors and is on the Investment Committee for ÉO Management, a family and private investment office of the Coury Family. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for The Robert J. Coury Family Foundation and the Jeff & Christine Coury Family Foundation.

    Gregg earned his B.A. in Business Finance and Economics from Duquesne University and currently resides in Upper St. Clair of Pittsburgh with his wife and 5 children.

  • Jeff Coury
    Executive Chairman
    Jeff serves as Executive Chairman of The Coury Firm. Jeff brings a unique skillset to the team through his leadership qualities and business acumen. Joining the Firm in 1995, Jeff has been able to perform successful engagements through the Firm’s Business Advisory division across numerous industries. He is a distinguished client advocate and management executive with unique, problem-resolution capabilities and is well-respected for his leadership.

    Jeff is currently the Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer at Mortgage Connect, LP. Mortgage Connect is one of the nation’s largest, independent mortgage service providers serving the Origination, Default, Capital Markets, Technology, and Document Solutions markets through offices in Pittsburgh, New York, Dallas, Denver and Irvine California. Under Jeff’s leadership, Mortgage Connect has grown to become one of the industry’s most respected mortgage service providers in the country, strategically partnered with the top lenders and servicers in the nation.

    Prior to joining and recapitalizing Mortgage Connect in 2012, he began his tenure in the mortgage services industry as an advisor to ServiceLink in 1997. Through Coury Firm’s Business Advisory practice, Jeff was named ServiceLink’s Chief Executive Officer in 2002. He grew Servicelink to a national, multi-platform organization more than tripling revenue and headcount. In 2005, Jeff spearheaded ServiceLink’s sale to Fidelity National Financial, where he remained as the company’s chief executive until 2011. During this time span, he quadrupled the company’s revenue through acquisition and organic growth.

    Jeff is a member of the Board of Directors and Investment Committee for ÉO Management, the private family and private investment office of the Coury Family. He also serves as an officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors for The Jeff & Christine Coury Family Foundation, and a member of the Board of Directors for The Robert J. Coury Family Foundation.

    Jeff earned his B.S. in Business Administration with a major in Finance and Economics from Duquesne University and currently resides in Pittsburgh, PA with his wife and 7 children.
  • Paul Coury
    Principal, Senior Wealth Director
    Private Wealth

    Paul is a Principal and Senior Wealth Director of The Coury Firm. Paul brings over 30 years of experience working with affluent individuals and families to help manage the complexities that arise while growing and preserving their wealth. Paul utilizes his seasoned business background to provide corporate and business advisory services to closely held businesses. He also works closely with the Firm's Wellness & Risk Management team to deliver comprehensive employer benefit solutions to both private and public companies. Paul currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Firm’s Private Wealth Investment Committee.


    Paul earned his B.A. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a Pittsburgh native, married and has four sons. He and his family currently reside in Sewickley, Pennsylvania.

  • Thomas Deutsch
    Co-Chief Investment Officer
    Tom is Co-Chief Investment Officer of The Coury Firm and a member of the Firm’s Investment Committee. In his role, Tom helps guide asset allocation decisions and design portfolio strategies for the Firm’s advisors and clients. Tom also co-leads the Firm’s Asset Management division, which is responsible for designing and deploying investment programs across private and public markets.
     
    Prior to joining The Coury Firm, Tom spent 15 years in portfolio management and investment research. Most recently, Tom served as Principal Portfolio Manager of a long/short equity portfolio.  Previously, Tom worked for ten years at Neuberger Berman. He was a Senior Vice President of Neuberger Berman and Senior Securities Analyst for the Neuberger Berman Multi-Cap Opportunities Strategy, a multi-billion-dollar equity portfolio.

    During his tenure, the Strategy’s mutual fund was a top-rated fund by Morningstar and Lipper “Category King” recipient. Previously, Tom was an Associate in Neuberger Berman’s Office of the Chief Investment Officer where he supported the firm’s macroeconomic research and thematic investing. He also helped establish and build Neuberger Berman’s Investment Strategy Group where he was responsible for capital markets analysis and the development of multi-asset class investment solutions.

    Tom began his career as an Analyst at Lehman Brothers, and graduated magna cum laude from Colby College.
  • Jeff Coury II
    Co-Chief Investment Officer
    Jeff serves as Co-Chief Investment Officer and a member of the investment committee at The Coury Firm. He co-heads the Asset Management division of the Firm where he leads all investment management and research activities. Jeff also manages the firm’s private fund platform, where he leads the design and execution of multi-manager investment programs and direct investments in the most compelling areas of private markets.
     
    Previously, Jeff served for eight years as a Portfolio Manager for the Asset Management division and helped launch the Firm’s private investment platform. In addition to his role at The Coury Firm, Jeff is an officer and member of the Board of Directors for The Jeff & Christine Coury Family Foundation.

    Jeff earned his B.S. in Finance and Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
  • Joseph Abdalah
    Vice President
    Corporate & Business Advisory
    Joe is Vice President for the Corporate and Business Advisory Division of The Coury Firm. In his role, Joe provides families, founders, and entrepreneurs guidance on key business initiatives, including growth and exit strategies, financial planning and analysis, buy and sell-side acquisitions, mergers and partnerships, and refinancing activities. 

    Prior to joining The Coury Firm, Joe served as Manager of Mergers and Acquisitions at a family-owned holding company in Pittsburgh, where he was responsible for executing the company’s acquisition strategy and family office private investments. He has closed more than 15 acquisitions with a combined deal value over $350 million. 

    Joe graduated manga cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh, and earned his MBA from the Rice University Jesse Jones Graduate School of Business.
  • Marissa Fisher
    Senior Benefits Analyst
    Wellness & Risk Management

    Marissa Fisher is a Senior Benefits Analyst in The Coury Firm’s Wellness & Risk Management division providing strategic advice, custom benefit plans and guidance around compliance and wellness. Marissa works closely with the Firm’s large, mid and small employer group clients in both public and private sectors. Her experience ranges from designing holistic and comprehensive employee benefit strategies to custom employee wellness programs, all the while focusing on the culture of the client’s business.

    Marissa serves as an extension to our clients’ Human Resources departments to help maximize employee-engagement and minimize risk. She joined Coury in 2011, from Scott Medical Health Center in Pittsburgh, where she worked as an Administrator and Community Relations Assistant. 

    Marissa earned a B.A. in Communication at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania.

  • Kimberly Lynch
    Senior Benefits Analyst
    Wellness & Risk Management

    Kimberly Lynch is a Senior Benefit Analyst in the Firm's Wellness & Risk Management division, focusing on evaluating benefit plans for corporate clients and building customized effective solutions for their employees. 


    Her valuable experience ranges from the design and development of benefit and incentive plans to the administration of healthcare and employee programs for both non-union and union workforce. In addition, Kimberly has designed and implemented wellness programs. Her expertise also assists our private clients and multi-family offices in understanding their coverage, evaluating compliance and finding solutions that meet their family’s needs.


    Kimberly joined The Coury Firm in 2017, following a 13-year career at Harbison Walker International, where she most recently held the position of Supervisor of Health & Welfare Benefits.


    Kimberly attended La Roche College in Pittsburgh. 

  • Benjamin Sims, JD
    Wealth Advisor/Strategist
    Private Wealth
    Ben is a Wealth Advisor/Strategist for the Firm’s Private Wealth and Family Office Division. In his role, Ben leads a team of Wealth Planners and Wealth Servicers and is responsible for designing and implementing customized, holistic Wealth Planning and Investment strategies for clients.

    Prior to joining the Firm, Ben spent 12 years at Goldman Sachs Ayco Personal Financial Management. He began his career as a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.

    A licensed attorney, Ben achieved his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and earned a B.A. from Pennsylvania State University.
  • Craig Slaubaugh, CFP®
    Senior Wealth Strategist
    Private Wealth
    Craig is a Senior Wealth Strategist at The Coury Firm.  In his role, he works closely with a team of Wealth Advisors, Strategists, and Planners to develop comprehensive planning and guidance for the Firm's Private Wealth and Family Office clients. 

    Prior to joining The Coury Firm, Craig worked at a Multi-Family Office that served ultra high net worth individuals and business owners. He also served within the personal financial services group of a large regional public accounting firm and in private wealth management at PNC and KeyBank.

    Craig holds a Bachelor of Science and master's degree from Gannon University. He is a Certified Financial Planner™.
  • Craig Montanye
    Senior Wealth Advisor
    Private Wealth

    Craig is a Senior Wealth Advisor working with the Firm’s Private Wealth and Corporate Retirement Plan Clients. Having joined The Coury Firm in 2014, Craig works closely with the Firm’s Wealth Strategists and Wealth Planners to develop customized, comprehensive Wealth Planning strategies to support each client’s unique goals.


    Prior to joining the Firm, Craig was a Senior Financial Analyst at The Ayco Company in Latham, New York, where he provided financial counseling to Fortune 500 executives and other high net worth individuals.  Prior to that, he was an Assistant Wealth Manager at a Wealth Management firm in Albany, New York.  He began his career as a Financial Advisor for AXA Advisors in Clifton Park, New York.


    Craig earned his BBA in Finance at St. Bonaventure University in St. Bonaventure, New York. 

  • Nicole White, CRPC®
    Wealth Advisor & Director of Planning
    Private Wealth
    Nicole is Wealth Advisor & Director of Planning with the Private Wealth and Family Office division where she works closely with the Firm’s Wealth Advisors and Strategists to develop comprehensive and efficient planning strategies for each client’s unique situation. 

    With 15 years' experience in the wealth management industry where she most recently served as an Assistant Vice President and Wealth Management Advisor, Nicole has assisted generations of families in growing and protecting their wealth. 

    Nicole holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Pennsylvania State University and is also a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor.
  • James Kozej, CPA
    Wealth Planner
    Private Wealth
    James is a Wealth Planner for The Coury Firm. In his role, James supports the Firm’s Advisors in developing and implementing tailored wealth strategies across tax, trust and estate, investment, and balance sheet planning.

    Prior to joining the firm, James spent four years in public accounting. Most recently, James served as a Senior Associate at Baker Tilly focused on Private Wealth Tax. Previously, James was a Senior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Wealth Management Tax group.

    James received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from John Carroll University and is a Certificated Public Accountant.
  • Jim Barbour
    Director of Operations
    Private Wealth
    Jim Barbour is the Director of Operations, Private Wealth for The Coury Firm. In his role he is responsible for managing and providing operational support, developing and documenting operational processes, and partnering with external vendors and custodians to create efficiencies.

    Prior to joining the Firm, Jim has 15 years of experience in the banking industry at The Bank Of New York Mellon, most recently as a Vice President of Issuer and Loan Services servicing Syndicated Bank Loans. He helped with overall servicing needs, reconciliation, project management, operational procedures, monitoring outgoing wire requests, and helped meet client and advisor needs while managing a team of 30. Jim also has experience as a Securities Analyst in Operations and Control within Wealth Management and Escrow Servicing during his time at BNY Mellon.

    Jim earned his AS in Business Management from the Community College of Allegheny County located in Pittsburgh.
  • Elizabeth Osborn
    Marketing Associate
    Liz Osborn is the Marketing Associate for The Coury Firm. In her role, she is responsible for marketing, event planning, and corporate communications.

    Prior to joining the Firm, she served as a Development Coordinator for St. Anthony School Programs where she was responsible for grant writing, marketing and social media, and event planning.  Liz currently serves as the Executive Secretary and Marketing/Content Creation Chairman for PGH Museums, a non-profit organization that supports the arts and historical landmarks in Southwestern PA.

    Liz graduated from High Point University in North Carolina with a M.A. in Communications and Business Leadership and a B.S.B.A. in International Business, with minors in Italian, Art History, and Economics.
